Galveston Unscripted is an award-winning podcast that uncovers the history of Galveston Island with interviews with its pioneering inhabitants. The podcast has been dubbed “the official podcast of Galveston” and was awarded the 2022 Sally B. Wallace Historic Preservation Award by the Galveston Historical Foundation. Galveston Unscripted has been featured in Coast Magazine, VisitGalveston.com, Texas History Lessons, and Wise about Texas.
In order to care for the Island’s rich history, it is important to understand where we have been. That’s why Galveston Unscripted exhibits interviews with historians, authors, doctors, and preservationists to provide a deeper understanding of the island’s past and historical context. Each episode features a topic, person, or location that is applied to an audio tour map that can be accessed for free. Furthering our mission: Transforming Galveston Island into the world’s largest free museum.
